Hydrangeas In Oasis Test 1

Oasis is the green block in the bottom of the vase, which florists use to make arrangements. The test used Hygro water for all and the control water was regular tap water at 63 degrees and we used the preservative CHRYSAL in the control water. They were placed on the workbench at room temperature to see the results. This test was conducted for florists and wedding florists. Almost all weddings are on the weekends and these florists have no choice but to make all of their arrangements on Fridays. This test verifies that when they use Oasis with HYGRO water, {even when it goes dry] it extends the life of the Hydrangea. This means that they could easily and safely start their arrangements 4 or 5 days earlier, which improves time management and eliminates the need to do all the work in one day. Hydrangeas are very popular wedding flowers but when they run out of water they immediately wilt. This test started on October 1st and the last picture was day 33.

Earl Gray Rose Test 2

This test used Earl Gray Rose which is a very popular flower used primarily with florists and wedding florists. The problem is that it is expensive and has a very short shelf life. Again, these results will prove that when we use HYGRO water it extends life. Florists can now use Earl Gray in arrangements and do not have to do all their work in one day, usually Friday. We also used Chrysal, the preservative in the control water. This was a short test because the flower craps out so fast, but it does show that we can extend the life and from my observation for an additional week. The test started on October 1st and ended on October 14.

The Vendalla Rose Test 3

This rose is known to fall apart usually in an arrangement by 2 to 4 days. It is expensive and used by wedding florists in their arrangements but is usually replaced by other cream-colored flowers that are less expensive. The end result is that we can make a Vendalla last about one week longer using HYGRO as opposed to control.
